Enunciation is an art, and many of us (Ariana Grande included) often find it to be quite a struggle. We’re starting to think Iggy Azalea does too, because lately we can’t understand what the hell she’s rapping about.
“Oooh, she’s Australian, it’s her accent! Why are you being so racist?” we hear you cry. No. Iggy’s isn’t an “accent” issue. It’s an enunciation issue. Here are six times she gave us a headache from trying to figure out what she was saying.
1. This Vine that started it all.
What we think she’s saying: Peach four a point, better pass me joint / Gotta twist this beat, gonna sprain my joint / Straight crack rap! PAP PAP POOM going to Rack City!
2. This other Vine that continued it.
What we think she’s saying: Racks from the racks, bish nobody win / Move the top of my weave / When I win when I win I win no winnin’ they go buy sheets
3. This performance with T.I. in someone’s crowded basement.
What we think she’s saying: The lyrics to “Murda Bizness,” but Lord knows…
